Keeping in Touch

Cork Cancer Research Centre would like to keep you up to date with details of The Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk. In the interest of keeping our costs down, we would like to send you information about the walk via email rather than through the post.

We use mobile numbers provided to keep you informed about weekend social activities, and to keep you informed of any walk changes due to weather conditions, such as start times, meeting points, etc.


Your Privacy

Any personal data you provide will be solely used to issue your sponsorship pack and all necessary information regarding The Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk. It will be stored securely on our database and shared only with the walk organisers for the purpose of organising the event.

Terms & Conditions

Entrants to the walk do so at their own risk. Cork Cancer Research Centre, its employees or volunteers cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal effects, injury or death however so arising. We also reserve the right to refuse an applicant who, in our opinion, has not reached the required level of fitness or for any other reasons would not be a suitable candidate for this walk.

The event is supported by volunteer Walk Leaders who will be available to provide guidance, monitor your progress and assist with any first aid. The decision and authority of the Walk Leaders on all walks is final and at all times must be accepted by the participants. First aid cover is also provided.

Sponsorship cards are issued subject to the following conditions in order to safeguard the integrity both of those seeking sponsorship and those donating to fundraisers:

  • Sponsorship cards remain the sole property of the Cork Cancer Research Centre, and must be returned, whether used or unused.
  • Any change of participant’s address should be notified to the walk organisers at Cork Cancer Research Centre.
  • Any loss or theft of the card(s) must be reported to the Cork Cancer Research Centre a.s.a.p.
  • All monies received must be entered on the sponsorship card(s), which must be returned to Cork Cancer Research Centre at the address below on or before 10th September 2010. All monies must be returned with the sponsor card(s) or lodged to the bank account as shown on the back of the card.

For health and safety reasons, dogs and children under 18 are not permitted to participate in the walk.
